Hello everyone,

Today we did a science marshmallow experiment and our team was winning in the class but it collapsed in the last second.  We had 18 minutes to do this.  The people in my group were Robby, Bryn Liam Charlie and myself.   We realised we needed more support so we put some more sellotape on.

We did all of our work for nothing when it collapsed!!!

On Thursday we went to the science roadshow and they told us about flames and gravity and how it works and lots of other stuff.   Then we got to look at lots of different science experiment  we got to check out a nail bed, neuton ball and play with lots of science activities.  I especially loved the 

Whisper Dishes ... they were cool!!!    

term 3 reflection

Friday 27 September

This term has been busy,

My highlight from this term was winter sport rugby we came 4th over all and I got 3 tries. We when to zones and I got 2 tries in zones hoon hay came 1st and we tied second with oaklands. There had to be a team that when to Canterbury's if hoon hay couldn't make it so they counted by points so oaklands had more points so they came second and we came 3rd.

My lowlight was production because I don't like preforming.

week 9 update

Friday 20 September 


This week we did production and I was in the Pat's Blues.  Production was boring because there were so many people watching, we had to put so much hard work into practising.  We had to stay in the holding room the whole time and all we did was watch the acts.


I am looking forward to the Rugby World Cup 2019 because it happens every 4 years and All Blacks are versing South Africa.  I got Spark Sport so we can watch the RWC live because you have to watch it one hour delayed on Sky Sports.  GO ALL BLACKS!!!!!!!!!    

  


   

week 1-6 update

August 30 Friday

This term has busy.

We finished winter sport and our rugby team came 4th overall.  In rugby winter sport zones we finished 3rd and I got 2 tries.

Cantamath has also finished. The first week of cantamath with our new groups we came first out of the whole batten team.  The second week of cantamath we came 2nd out of the whole batten team.  The last week of canatamath we came 2nd out of 4 groups.   

For market day Jay and I made $120 all together and Jay and I got to take $19 each.
The first five minutes all the sushi sticks got sold out.

Friday 28  June 

Hello everyone,

This week in winter sport we versed St Francis of Assisi and I was right winger. I made some tackles and I almost scored a try. We tied 4-4.

We won pizza for lunch on Monday because our class brought our spellathon lists and money in before all the other classes. 

I also got picked to paint a eel model next Friday.

This morning we had a welcome ceremony and it was freezing outside. Here's some photos.

 This week I have enjoyed our new inquiry.  Jay and I are making sushi and will make 142 dollars if we sell everything.  We are going to make a stand and will have made sushi to sell.  We have made a logo and have done our plan.

To make sushi, Jay and I are going buy seaweed and will buy rice chicken and soy sauce.
We will water the seaweed and put rice on the seaweed and we will put chicken in the rice and wrap it up and put it in gladwrap.

Hello everyone,

This week in winter sport in the first game we versed ST Martins and our team won 4-0 and most of our tries were full field.  I obviously play rugby!
I ripped the ball out of someone's hands.
In our second game we versed Addington and I almost saved a try.
It was 4-4 and it was last play and we were right near the try line and Stanley scored and we won 5-4.
   
During RE we have been learning about the major events in Mary's life.

Hello everyone,

Yesterday we had winter sports and I played rugby.

I set up a few tries and in the first game William scored 4 tries and William scored 2 tries in the second game.

Ollie scored 2 tries in the first game and he got 3 full field tries in the second game and one was an intercept.

Robby got one try, James got one try, Liam got one try, Oscar one try.

We won both games in our first game we versed West Spreydon in our first game

and in our second game we versed St Francis of Assisi.  

 

 

 

Catholic Sports tournament

Weekly update.
Good afternoon everyone,
on Thursday we did a Catholic sports tournament we got to chose what sport we got to play,
out of football/soccer netball riper rugby and hockey.
I scored lots of goals in football/soccer.
On our first game of soccer we had a bye.

End of the year reflection

Friday 12  April 

Hi everyone,
The highlights of the term for me were cycle safety and Korfball.
Cycle safety was fun because we were learning the road rules, and on the first day we practised the road rules with cones on the concrete.
On the last day of cycle safety we did cycle safety on the road.

Korfball was fun too. On the first day of Korfball we learnt the rules. There are only 4 players per team in Korfball. Boys can only mark boys and girls can only mark girls.  On the last day of Korfball we had a fun day with everyone playing at the same time.
I liked this term alot.

 I am looking ford to winter sport next term.

Caritas refugee day

Friday 5 April

Hello everyone,
Yesterday we did a refugee day.
We ate rice with our hands for lunch and we made houses out of cardboard.
It was hard to made the houses out of cardboard because it kept falling over and we had to move next to a tree.   
The highlight from me was making the houses out of cardboard.

Hello everyone,

This week we played Korfball, Korfball is pretty much netball but you can play any shot and there is only 4 players.
Boys can only block boys and girls can only block girls and if you get blocked you can't shoot.

LEARNZ Web Conferences

Hello everyone,
Today we had a Web Conferences with Fiona, Andrew, John and Elisabeth.
I learned that our water will never run out,
Also you can turn saltwater into fresh water but it is very expensive.
There is Fossil water in some Countries.

Don the eel man

Hello,
Today Jack's uncle's Dad came and talked us about eels.  Here is what I learnt ...

• Eels can swim backwards.
• Years ago eels lived in the sea. 
• The Australian long fin eel doesn't live in the South Island.
• The biggest eel is 2 meters long.
• Long fin eels eat each other.
• Long fin eels get birds and ducklings and mice. 
• Eels don't need food every day.  
• Eels can breath with their skin.    

Phil and Janet-Missionaries

Hello everyone,
Today Phil and Janet-Missionaries talked to us about South Sudan.
South Sudan's toilets are in the ground and the toilet doesn't flush.
South Sudan's 100 pounds are 30 cents in our money,
Their road is to dangerous to ride on.
The average to live to is 47,
Most people in South Sudan are under the age of 35.
In South Sudan they ride in aeroplanes as this is safer than travelling on the road.

 Hello,

This week has been amazing!!!  The highlight for me was our Eel field trip on Thursday.
